Marius de Vries is the executive music producer of the upcoming drama Coda. He has also composed the original score for the film written and directed by Sian Heder (Tallulah, Little America) and starring Emilia Jones, Eugenio Derbez, Troy Kotsur, Ferdia Walsh-Peelo, Daniel Durant and Marlee Matlin. The movie tells the story of the only hearing member of a deaf family as she joins her high school’s choir club and dinds herself drawn to both her duet partner and her latent passion for singing. Nick Baxter serves as the music producer and Alexandra Patsavas is the drama’s music supervisor. Philippe Rousselet (Source Code, Lord of War), Fabrice Gianfermi (What Happened to Monday) and Patrick Wachsberger (Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Step Up series) are producing the project. De Vries has previously served as executive music producer on such films as La La Land & Teen Spirit and has written original score for such features as Strange Magic, Kick-Ass and Sucker Punch. Coda will premiere later this month at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival.
