Quartet Records has released a soundtrack EP for Pedro Almodóvar’s short The Human Voice. The digital EP features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee Alberto Iglesias (The Constant GardenerThe Kite Runner, Volver, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, The Skin I Live In, Pain and Glory). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and other digital music services.  The Human Voice written and directed by Almodóvar is based original stage play by Jean Cocteau and stars Tilda Swinton as a desperate woman who waits for the phone call of the lover who has just abandoned her. The short, which premiered at this year’s Venice Film Festival, has been released in Spain earlier this week and is set to open theatrically in the UK on November 7. Sony Pictures Classics has picked up domestic distribution rights for a release in late 2020 or early 2021.
