Composer Bruno Coulais (The Chorus, The Crimson Rivers, Winged Migration) is reteaming with director Henry Selick on the upcoming animated feature Wendell & Wild. The film follows two scheming demon brothers – Wendell (voiced by Jordan Peele) and Wild (voiced by Keegan-Michael Key) – who are forced to face-off against their arch-enemy in order to earn their way out of hell. Selick (The Nightmare Before Christmas, James and the Giant Peach) also co-wrote the screenplay with Peele (Get Out, Us) and Clay McLeod Chapman based on an original story by Selick. They are also producing the Monkeypaw production with Ellen Goldsmith-Vein (The Maze Runner, Stargirl, Life of Crime) for The Gotham Group. Coulais has previously scored the Selick’s Academy Award-nominated animated film Coraline and also collaborated with the director on The Shadow King, which is still in development. Wendell & Wild will premiere in late 2020 or next year on Netflix.
