Premiering tonight is the Showtime original series Penny Dreadful: City of Angels created by John Logan and starring Daniel Zovatto, Natalie Dormer, Kerry Bishé, Amy Madigan  Lin Shaye, Rory Kinnear, Thomas Kretschmann, Piper Perabo, Brent Spiner, Adam Rodriguez, Michael Gladis, Dominic Sherwood, Lorenza Izzo, Ethan Peck and Nathan Lane. The show’s original music is composed by John Paesano (Daredevil, The Maze Runner, The Star, Truth Be Told, Almost Christmas). Premiering tomorrow, April 27, is the Netflix original series Never Have I Ever created by Mindy Kaling & Lang Fisher and starring Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Poorna Jagannathan, Richa Moorjani, Lee Rodriguez and Ramona Young. Joseph Stephens (Observe and Report, Eastbound & Down, The Righteous Gemstones, Flower, The Last O.G., Vice Principals) is composing the show’s original music. Premiering on Wednesday, April 29, is the Hulu limited series Normal People based on Sally Rooney’s New York Times best-selling novel of the same title and starring Daisy Edgar-Jones and Paul Mescal. Premiering on Thursday, April 30, is the Netflix original film Dangerous Lies directed by Michael Scott and starring Camila Mendes, Jessie T. Usher, Jamie Chung, Cam Gigandet, Sasha Alexander and Elliott Gould. James Jandrisch (Reasonable Doubt, Houdini and Doyle, The Bletchley Circle: San Francisco, Somewhere Between) has composed the movie’s original music. Premiering on Friday, May 1, is the Netflix original series Hollywood created by Ryan Murphy & Ian Brennan and starring David Corenswet, Darren Criss, Patti LuPone,  Jeremy Pope, Samara Weaving, Maude Apatow, Laura Harrier, Jim Parsons, Joe Mantello, Dylan McDermott, Jake Picking and Holland Taylor. Another Netflix original film premiering on Friday is the romantic comedy The Half of It written and directed by Alice Wu and starring Leah Lewis, Daniel Diemer, Collin Chou and Alexxis Lemire. The film’s original music is composed by Anton Sanko (Rabbit Hole, Big Love, The Possession, Ouija, The Seagull, Siren). Also premiering on Friday is the Apple TV+ original series Trying created by Andy Wolton and starring Rafe Spall, Esther Smith and Imelda Staunton. The British comedy, which follows a couple as they try for adoption after discovering they are unable to have children naturally, will be available to stream exclusively on Apple TV+.

Also premiering on Friday is the Amazon original series Upload created by Greg Daniels and starring Robbie Amell, Andy Allo, Allegra Edwards, Zainab Johnson and Kevin Bigley.
