Christophe Beck (Frozen, The Hangover, Edge of Tomorrow, Buffy the Vampire Slayer) has revealed in a recent interview with SESAC that he will be scoring Marvel Studios’ upcoming Disney+ original series WandaVision. The show is developed by Jac Schaeffer (The Hustle) based on the Marvel Comics characters Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch and Vision and stars Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany, Kat Dennings and Randall Park who are reprising their roles from the Marvel feature films. They are joined by Teyonah Parris and Kathryn Hahn. Matt Shakman (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) is directing all six episodes of the series’ first season. Schaeffer is also executive producing the project with Kevin Feige (Avengers, Iron Man, Black Panther, Guardians of the Galaxy). Beck has previously scored Marvel’s Ant-Man and Ant-Man and the Wasp. WandaVision will premiere later this year on Disney+.
Beck’s other recent projects include Disney’s Frozen II and Miguel Arteta’s Like a Boss, both of which are currently playing in theaters. The composer also has Shawn Levy’s Free Guy starring Ryan Reynolds coming up.
This would be a good soundtrack to have.
