Russ Davies is set to score the upcoming BBC America original series The Watch. The show is developed by Simon Allen (The Musketeers) based on Sir Terry Pratchett’s bestselling Discworld novels and stars Richard Dormer, Adam Hugill, Jo Eaton-Kent, Marama Corlett, Lara Rossi and Sam Adewunmi. The drama revolves around a group of misfit cops as they rise up from decades of helplessness to save their corrupt city from catastrophe. Allen is also executive producing the Narrativia and BBC Studios production with Craig Viveiros, Hilary Salmon (Silk, MotherFatherSon), Ben Donald (Wolf Hall, Paradise’s End), Richard Stokes (Silent Witness) and Rob Wilkins. The Watch is expected to premiere later this year on BBC America.
Davies has recently scored the Viveiros-produced and directed BBC series The War of the Worlds, which has just been renewed for a second season.
