Premiering tonight is the documentary Country Music directed and produced by Ken Burns. Legacy Recordings has released a soundtrack album in two different versions featuring a selection of the songs from the movie by artists such as the Carter Family, Jimmie Rodgers, Randy Travis & others. Premiering on Thursday, September 19, is the comedy First Wives Club developed by Tracy Oliver based on the 1996 movie of the same title and starring Ryan Michelle Bathe, Jill Scott and Michelle Buteau. Chris Alan Lee (Younger, No Good Nick) is composing the show’s original score. Premiering on Friday, September 20 is the Netflix original movie Between Two Ferns: The Movie directed by Scott Aukerman and starring Zach Galifianakis, Ryan Gaul, Lauren Lapkus and Jiavani Linayao. The film’s original score is composed by Alex Wurman (March of the Penguins,Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, Talladega Nights). Also premiering on Friday is the Netflix original series Criminal created by George Kay & Jim Field Smith and starring Katherine Kelly, Lee Ingleby, Nicholas Pinnock, Margot Bancilhon, Laurent Lucas, Stéphane Jobert, Eva Meckbach, Sylvester Groth, Florence Kasumba, Jorge Bosch, José Ángel Egido and Nuria Mencía. Also premiering on Friday is the Netflix docu-series Inside Bill’s Brain: Decoding Bill Gates directed and produced by Davis Guggenheim about the billionaire as he opens up about those who influenced him and the audacious goals he’s still pursuing. The show’s original music is composed by Dhani Harrison & Paul Hicks (Learning to Drive, Beautiful Creatures, The Divide, Outsiders).
