Grammy Award winner and Academy Award nominee Pharrell Williams has recorded an original song for the new Netflix documentary The Black Godfather. The song, entitled Letter to My Godfather, will be released as a digital single tomorrow, June 7 by Epic Records. Click here to download the track and to listen to the full song after the jump. The Black Godfather is produced and directed by Reginald Hudlin (Boomerang, House Party, Marshall) and follows the life of Clarence Avant, the ultimate, uncensored mentor and behind-the-scenes rainmaker in music, film, TV and politics. Williams has previously written original songs for the Despicable Me movies and Theodore Melfi Hidden Figures. The documentary will be released in select theaters and on Netflix tomorrow.
