Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Fallout, The LEGO Batman Movie, Terminatory Genisys, Home, Pacific Rim Uprising) has composed the original music for the upcoming drama Georgetown. The film marks the feature directorial debut of Academy Award-winning actor Christoph Waltz who also stars in the movie alongside Annette Bening, Vanessa Redgrave and Corey Hawkins. The movie is based on the New York Times Magazine article by Franklin Foer and follows an ambitious social climber who marries a wealthy widow in Washington D.C. in order to mix with powerful political players. David Auburn (Proof, The Lake House) wrote the screenplay. Brad Feinstein (The White Crow), Andrew Levitas (Driven), David Gerson (Dark Crimes), John Cheng (Barely Lethal) and Brett Ratner (Rush Hour, X-Men: The Last Stand) are producing the project. Georgetown is premiering this weekend at the 2019 Tribeca Film Festival.

As previously reported, Balfe also has Michael Bay’s 6 Underground starring Ryan Reynolds, as well as Peter Cattaneo’s Military Wives starring Kristin Scott Thomas & Sharon Horgan coming up.
