Back Lot Music will release the official soundtrack album for the psychological thriller Greta. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner Javier Navarrete (Pan’s Labyrinth, Wrath of the Titans, The Devil’s Backbone, Byzantium). Also included is a selections of the songs from the movie by artists such as Julie London, Lucienne Delye, St. Vincent, Selk and Heather Woods Broderick. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, March 1 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Greta is directed by Neil Jordan and stars Isabelle Huppert, Chloë Grace Moretz, Maika Monroe, Colm Feore and Stephen Rea. The movie tells the story of a lonely, mysterious widow whose friendship with a naïve young woman takes on an increasingly obsessive and sinister air.The thriller premiered at last year’s Toronto Film Festival and is being released in theaters nationwide this weekend by Focus Features. At the end of the movie while the credits roll there is a beautiful jazz piano solo of Liebestraum. Is there a recording of this? It’s not on the Greta soundtrack.
