Premiering tonight is the new Showtime original series Black Monday created by David Caspe & Jordan Cahan and starring Don Cheadle, Andrew Rannells, Regina Hall, Paul Scheer, Yassir Lester, Michael James Scott and Eugene Cordero. The show’s original music is composed by Kris Bowers (Green Book, Dear White People, Of Monsters and Men). Premiering on Thursday, January 24, is the Netflix docu-series Conversations With a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes directed by Joe Berlinger about serial killer Ted Bundy. Justin Melland (Dark Net, The Force, Wrong Man) has composed the original music for the show, which features present-day interviews, archival footage and audio recordings made on death row. The full series will be available to stream on Thursday exclusively on Netflix.
Premiering on Friday, January 25, is the British mini-series Black Earth Rising written and directed by Hugo Blick and starring Michaela Cole, John Goodman, Noma Dumezweni, Harriet Walter and Tamara Tunie. The show’s original music is composed by Martin Phipps (Woman in Gold, Victoria, Harry Brown, Victoria). Patrick Jonsson (On Her Shoulders) has provided additional music. Dubois Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score. Also premiering on Friday is the Netflix original movie Polar directed by Jonas Akerlund and starring Mads Mikkelsen, Vanessa Hudgens, Katheryn Winnick and Matt Lucas. Deadmau5 has made his film scoring debut on the project and provided the movie’s original score. A soundtrack album featuring the EDM artist’s score will also be released on Friday.
