Nima Fakhrara is set to score the upcoming thriller Crypto. The film is directed by John Stalberg Jr. (High School) and stars Beau Knapp, Alexis Bledel, Kurt Russell, Luke Hemsworth, Jeremie Harris and Vincent Kartheiser. The movie revolves around a young anti-money laundering agent tasked with investigating a tangled web of corruption and fraud in his remote New York hometown, where his father and brother are struggling to maintain their family farm in a changing economic landscape. Carlyle Eubank & David Frigerio (The Signal) wrote the screenplay based on an original story by Jeffrey Ingber. Yale Productions’ Jordan Yale Levine (Jack Goes Home, King Cobra) and Jordan Beckerman (Shotgun) are producing the project, along with David Frigerio. Crypto has just started shooting last week and is expected to be released in 2019.

As previously reported, Fakhrara whose previous scoring credits include The Signal, The Pyramid, The Girl in the Photographs and this year’s video game Detroit: Become Human also has the romantic comedy Simple Wedding, the sci-fi thriller White Space, the comedy Danger One and the drama Desolate coming up. The composer has also been hired to score the upcoming crime thriller The Ghost Who Walks. The film is written and directed by Cody Stokes and stars Garland Scott, Gil Darnell, Frank Mosley and Alexia Rasmussen. The movie follows an imprisoned criminal who betrays his former boss for a final opportunity to become the father he never was.Daniel Gartner is producing the thriller, which is currently in post-production.

    Replacing a score by Christopher Arruda, who scored the film. Not only that, but the IndieGoGo page that funded the film, offered his score as a perk for $30 (as well as an iTunes download), which 18 people claimed. The IndieGoGo page spoke praise about his score.

      That’s a different CRYPTO, the CRYPTO you are referring to is directed by Jon Silverberg with a completely different cast, and THIS CRYPTO is much bigger with a much bigger cast! Do your research before you say stuff!
