Ilan Eshkeri has recently composed the music for the Sky Atlantic crime drama Riviera. The mini-series is created by Neil Jordan (The Crying Game, Interview with the Vampire, The End of the Affair) and stars Julia Stiles, Lena Olin, Iwan Rheon, Adrian Lester, Anthony LaPaglia, Phil Davis, Dimitri Leonidas, Roxane Duran, Amr Waked and Igal Naor. The show is set on France’s Cote d’Azur and centers on a young, recently married woman whose blissful life is torn apart when her billionaire husband is murdered in a yacht explosion. Jordan is also executive producing the project with Liza Marshall (Life in a Day, Before I Go to Sleep), Kris Thykier (Kick-Ass, Woman in Gold) and Paul McGuinness. Riviera will premiere in the UK on June 15, 2017 on Sky Atlantic. No word yet on a domestic premiere date.
Eshkeri’s recent projects also include The Exception starring Christopher Plummer & Lily James, which will be released in select U.S. theaters next month, as well as Jim Loach’s Measure of a Man (co-scored with Tim Wheeler), which is expected to premiere later this year. The composer’s upcoming projects also include Ralph Fiennes’ The White Crow.
