Jeff Beal has composed the score for the upcoming Showtime docu-series The Putin Interviews. The 4-parter is directed by Oliver Stone who, alongside his longtime documentary producer Fernando Sulichin, interviewed the Russian president Vladimir Putin more than a dozen times over the course of two years, most recently in February following the U.S. presidential elections. The series provides intimate insight into Putin’s personal and professional lives, from his childhood under communism, to his rise to power, his relations with four U.S. presidents, and his surprising takes on U.S.-Russian relations today. Varese Sarabande will release a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score from the show next month. Visit Amazon to pre-order the CD version and check back on this page for the full album details. The Putin Interviews will premiere on June 12, 2017 on Showtime. Beal’s recent projects also include the fifth season of Netflix’s House of Cards, which will premiere next week, as well as Rob Reiner’s drama Shock and Awe starring Woody Harrelson & Tommy Lee Jones, which is expected to premiere later this year.
