Lesley Barber has been hired to score the upcoming horror thriller Boarding School. The film is written and directed by Boaz Yakin (Remember the Titans, Fresh, Safe, Max) and stars Will Patton, Samantha Mathis, Sterling Jerins, Luke Prael and Tammy Blanchard. The movie is set in a mysterious boarding school where children deemed undesirable are committed and revolves around a 12-year-old boy who starts to suspect that something much more sinister than education is going on when one of the students is found dead. Trudie Styler (Filth, Girl Most Likely) and Celine Rattray (The Kids Are All Right, Bernie) are producing the Maven Pictures production with Scott Lochmus and Jason Orans (Goodbye Solo). Boarding School is expected to premiere later this year.
Barber (Manchester By the Sea, You Can Count On Me, Mansfield Park) also has the documentary A Better Man directed by Lawrence Jackman & Attiya Khan about the effects of domestic violence against women coming up.
