Jeff Beal is composing the original music for the upcoming documentary An Inconvenient Sequel. The film directed by Bonni Cohen & Jon Shenk (The Island President, Audrie & Daisy) is the sequel to the 2006 documentary An Inconvenient Truth and follows Vice President Al Gore as he continues his tireless fight, traveling around the world training an army of climate champions and influencing international climate policy. Richard Berge (The Rape of Europa) and Diane Weyermann (Citizenfour) are producing the project. Davis Guggenheim (Waiting for Superman, He Named Me Malala) who helmed the Academy Award-winning original film (scored by Michael Brook) serves as an executive producer on the project. An Inconvenient Sequel will premiere in January at the Sundance Film Festival and will be released later in 2017 by Paramount Pictures.
Beal is also returning to score the fifth season of Netflix’s House of Cards, which will premiere next year.
The whole idea of this stupid Al Gore movie is ridiculous. It’s only an “inconvenient Sequel” because all the silly nonsensical predictions the big dummy made in the first movie never came true in the first place (pretty inconvenient right?). Hey Al, you said the Polar Ice Caps would all be melted by 2016. How’d that work out for you, you big dummy?
