Adam Wiltzie has recently composed the music for the upcoming drama The Yellow Birds. The film is directed by Alexandre Moors (Blue Caprice) and stars Jack Huston, Jennifer Aniston, Tye Sheridan, Alden Ehrenreich, Toni Collette and Jason Patric. The movie based on the novel by Kevin Powers follows two young soldiers who are taken under the wing of an older, troubled sergeant as they are deployed to Iraq. David Lowery (Pete’s Dragon, Ain’t Them Bodies Saints) has written the screenplay. Courtney Solomon (An American Haunting, Cake) and Mark Canton (300, Immortals, Piranha 3D) are producing the Cinelou Films production with Jeffrey Sharp (Boys Don’t Cry, You Can Count On Me) and Evan Hayes (Everest). No word yet on a premiere date for The Yellow Birds.
Witzie has also recently co-scored the French thriller The Shadow of Iris with Dustin O’Halloran. The composer has also composed the music for the documentary Salero directed by Mike Plunkett. The movie premiered at various film festivals over the past year. A soundtrack album will be released on November 11, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon.
