Did Christian Jacob/Tierney Sutton compose the music for the trailer, though? That’s an excellent track.

    • Mark says:

I have seen both of them perform, together and with others. They are terrific musicians. Can’t wait to see the film/get the soundtrack.

  2. Justin Boggan says:

Finally. Eastwood may be a good actor and maybe eve na good director, but his un-memorable and barely servicable piano tinkling scores he’s composed to some of his previous films, are just bland and even now I’d advocate they were replaced. It’s high time he did what’s he’s done here: get somebody besides himself. It’s a shame it couldn’t have been Lalo Schifrin.

I’ll wait patiently to hear what Jacob and that band compose, though a film like this, in my personal opinion, needed a quality emotional score the likes of what Lee Holdridge would have given it.

    • Carol Sullivan says:

Like BOTH Clint Eastwood’s music, and yes, Lee Holdridge would have been excellent. Like the connection from Maynard Ferguson to Christian Jacob.

    • Michael says:

Yeah, because Invictus and Mystic River are just piano tinkling scores. Gimme a break. He directs his own films, if he wants to score them, let him have it. Also, you can’t tell me that Mystic River is unmemorable, and that the themes that Eastwood wrote for his other films scored by Lennie Niehaus aren’t good.

      • MikeP says:

Eastwood is fine at writing themes, but that’s it. Claudia’s Theme from Unforgiven is lovely, and Niehaus does a fine job weaving it through the score. Also Eastwood’s “Doe Eyes” is very nice, but his films are better served when he leaves the actual dramatic scoring to others. The man is a craftsman and can tell a tale, although his movies have come to share the same lumbering pace for the most part. And when he does handle the scoring himself the music barely registers, aside from the main theme.

  3. Justin Boggan says:

Yes, they all were. And I’m glad he’s stepeed back. Further more, “Mystic River” has three additional composers, and “Invictus” wasn’t even scored by Clint, it was co-scored by his son and Michael Stevens — you should at least get your information right when trying to reply.

Does anyone know the name of the song/track used in the trailer or the trailer music studio that produced it? Love the strings/cello in this piece!! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  5. Gary H says:
