rock-the-kasbahVarese Sarabande will release a soundtrack album for the comedy Rock the Kasbah. The album features three original Cat Stevens covers by Leem Lubany, a Bill Murray cover of Smoke on the Water, as well as other songs from the film by artists including Bob Dylan, Isa Machine & LP and Harry Nilsson. Also included are two tracks from the movies’s original score composed by Marcelo Zarvos (The AffairRay DonovanEnough SaidThe Good ShepherdThe Words). The soundtrack will be released on October 23, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Rock the Kasbah is directed by Barry Levinson and stars Bill Murray, Kate Hudson, Zooey Deschanel, Danny McBride, Scott Caan, Bruce Willis and Leem Lubany. The movie follows a has-been rock manager who takes his last remaining client on a USO tour of Afghanistan and discovers a local girl with a golden voice.
