Premiering tonight is the AMC original series Better Call Saul created by Vince Gilligan & Peter Gould and starring Bob Odenkirk. The show is a spin-off of AMC’s Breaking Bad and features original music composed by Dave Porter (The Blacklist). Better Call Saul focuses on the character of attorney Saul Goodman from the Emmy-winning hit drama, which was also scored by Porter for its full five season run. Premiering on Wednesday, February 11, is Pop TV’s first scripted series Schitt’s Creek created by Eugene Levy who also stars in the comedy alongside Catherine O’Hara, Chris Elliott, Annie Murphy and Daniel Levy. Maribeth Solomon (Earth: Final Conflict) is composing the show’s original music. Schitt’s Creek follows a formerly filthy rich video store magnate, his soap star wife and their two kids who suddenly find themselves broke and are forced to live in Schitt’s Creek, a small depressing town they once bought as a joke. Premiering on Thursday, February 12, is the new NBC mini-series The Slap directed by Lisa Cholodenko, executive produced by Jon Robin Baitz, Walter F. Parkes & Laurie MacDonald and starring Peter Saarsgard, Thandie Newton, Uma Thurman, Zachary Quinto, Melissa George, Thomas Sadoski and Brian Cox. The drama’s original music is composed by Jon Ehrlich (House, M.D., Parenthood, White Collar). Premiering on Friday, February 13, is Amazon’s first one hour drama Bosch created by Michael Connelly and starring Titus Welliver, Jamie Hector, Amy Aquino, Lance Reddick, Annie Wersching, Sarah Clarke and Jason Gedrick. Jessie Voccia (A Haunted House 2, Ca$h) has composed the show’s original music. Bosch follows an LAPD homicide detective who works to solve the murder of a boy while standing trial for the murder of a serial killer. The show’s pilot premiered last year and the full first season of the cop drama will be available to stream on Amazon this Friday.
Also premiering on Friday is Disney Television Animation’s Penn Zero: Part Time Hero created by Jared Bush & Sam Levine and featuring the voice talent of Thomas Middleditch, Adam DeVine, Tania Gunadi, Alfred Molina and Larry Wilmore. The show’s original score is composed by Ryan Shore (Prime, Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever, Numb, Stan Helsing and The Shrine) who also contributes original songs for the animated series.
