Lorne Balfe has composed the music for the new BBC mini-series The Driver. The drama is created by Danny Brocklehurst and Jim Poyser and stars David Morrissey, Claudie Blakeley, Sacha Parkinson, Ian Hart, Colm Meaney, Shaun Dingwall and Lee Ross. The three-parter follows a taxi driver who blames himself for a family mystery and accepts an offer to start driving for a criminal gang. Jamie Payne (Doctor Who, The White Queen) has directed the mini-series, which is executive produced by Morrissey for Highfield Pictures, Nicola Shindler (Last Tango for Halifax, Happy Valley) for Red Productions and Polly Hill (The Honorable Woman, The White Queen) for BBC One.
