Robert Duncan is set to score the upcoming ABC drama pilot for Sea of Fire. The show is created by Jenna Bans (Scandal, Grey’s Anatomy) and stars Jennifer Carpenter, Jack Davenport, Jeffrey Nordling, Isabelle Cornish and Christina Chang. The drama is based on the Dutch series Vuurzee and follows three teenage girls who star in an illicit film, which tears their families apart and leads to a disappearance and a murder. Rob Goldenberg & Alon Aranya (Betrayal), David Hoberman & Todd Lieberman (The Fighter, Warm Bodies, The Muppets), Robert Kievit & Frank Ketelaar and Laurie Zaks (Castle) are executive producing the Sony Pictures Television, ABC Studios, Scripted World and Mandeville production. Duncan (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Terriers, The Unit) who continues to score ABC’s hit drama Castle has also been hired the USA pilot Rush. The show is created by Jonathan Levine (Warm Bodies, 50/50, The Wackness) and stars Tom Ellis as a call-on doctor to the very rich and very private, those whose medical needs demand a degree of discretion. Gina Matthews (What Women Want, 13 Going on 30) and Grant Scharbo who previously collaborated with Duncan on the shows Missing and The Gates are executive producing the Fox 21 and Little Engine production. Levine is also directing the pilot episode. No word yet on whether the project will be picked up to series.
