Heather McIntosh is composing the score for the upcoming indie drama The White City. The movie is directed by Tanner King Barklow (producer of the Oscar-nominated documentary The Invisible War) & Gil Kofman (Unmade in China) and stars Thomas Dekker, Haley Bennett and Bob Morley. The film tells the story of an emotionally charged love triangle between three young artists that develops against the hot political climate of modern Tel Aviv. Barklow has also written the screenplay and Kofman is producing the project with Moti Adiv. McIntosh’s previous scoring credits include the Sundance hit Compliance and the horror comedy The Rambler. The White City is currently in post-production and is expected to premiere later this year.
McIntosh’s other upcoming projects also include Annika Kurnick’s Gasp, Diane Whitten’s documentary Vessel (co-scored with T Griffin), Leigh Janiak’s thriller Honeymoon and Scott Teems’ documentary Holbrook/Twain: An American Odyssey, which features appearances by Sean Penn, Emile Hirsch, Martin Sheen and more.
