Mark Mothersbaugh has been tapped to score the upcoming IMAX 3D documentary Island of Lemurs: Madagascar. The film is directed by David Douglas and features trailblazing scientist Patricia Wright, an expert on lemurs and the wildlife of Madagascar where the creatures arrived as castaways millions of years ago and evolved into hundreds of diverse and now endangered species. Morgan Freeman is narrating the movie. Drew Fellman has written the screenplay and is also producing the project. Mothersbaugh has previously scored the IMAX documentary Born to be Wild 3D in 2011, which was produced by Fellman, narrated by Freeman and on which Douglas served as the director of cinematography.
