Genie Music & CJ Entertainment have released a soundtrack album for the South Korean historical/biographical spy thriller Harbin. The album features the film’s original music composed by Cho Young-Wuk (Oldboy, The Handmaiden, The Sympathizer, Thirst, Lady Vengeance, Decision to Leave, The Little Drummer Girl). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to a track (Battle of Kyung Heung) from the composer’s score below. Harbin is co-written and directed by Woo Min-ho and stars Hyun Bin, Park Jeong-min, Jeon Yeo-been, Jo Woo-jin and Lee Dong-wook. The movie is set in 1909, several years after Korea is forced into becoming a Japanese colony, and tells the story of a group of freedom fighters who plot the daring assassination of Japan’s prime minister during their quest for independence. The drama, which premiered at last year’s Toronto International Film Festival, opened in South Korean theaters over the holidays and has been released in select U.S. theaters by Well Go USA Entertainment.

I am ecstatic the Sound Track is available. I will be listening to it daily and have been telling everyone about this music and film since I saw it at TIFF four months ago to the day !!!! Thank you. I was just telling a colleague this music is like a hot air balloon has gracefully filled up my chest cavity and I’m now lifting off blissfully. I just think it’s incredible. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ I want to spend an evening watching an orchestra play the entire album. Please let it be the Cleveland Orchestra.
