Hanan Townshend is the composer of Terrence Malick’s upcoming drama To the Wonder. The film starring Ben Affleck, Rachel McAdams, Javier Bardem and Olga Kurylenko follows a man who reconnects with a woman from his hometown after his marriage to a European woman falls apart. Malick has written and directed the film and Nicolas Gonda and Sarah Green are producing the project. Townshend’s music has previously been used in Malick’s last film The Tree of Life, which was scored by Alexandre Desplat. Visit the composer’s official website to learn more about his work. To the Wonder will be premiering at the Venice Film Festival in a few weeks and will also be shown at the Toronto Film Festival next month. No word yet on a distribution deal for the film.
