Edward Shearmur has recently recorded his score for the upcoming documentary Spinning Plates. The film is directed by Joseph Levy and centers on three restaurants – including a cutting-edge restaurant named the sixth best in the world, an 150-year-old family restaurant and a fledgling Mexican restaurant – extraordinary for what they are today as well as the challenges they have overcome. Levy is also producing the Ambush Entertainment production with Miranda Bailey (Super, The Oh in Ohio), Matthew Leutwyler (Answers to Nothing) and Jacqueline Lesko. Taz Goldstein, Phil Rosenthal (Everybody Loves Raymond) and Sim Sarna are executive producing the project. No word yet on a release date for the film.
As previously reported, next up for Shearmur on the big screen is the the family movie Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days, which is set to be released on August 3 and Jay Chandrasekhar’s comedy The Babymakers, which is opening in limited release on the same day.
