Intrada Records has announced a new soundtrack release for the 1966 spy thriller The Quiller Memorandum directed by Michael Anderson and starring George Segal, Alec Guinness, Max Von Sydow and Senta Berger. The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by John Barry, including the Wednesday Child’s main theme, which is also featured in a vocal version performed by Matt Munro. The label has also released the world premiere release of soundtracks to four sci-fi/fantasy movies from producer George Pal. The 2-CD release features the music for the 1953 film War of the Worlds composed by Leith Stevens, as well as the composer’s score for 1951’s When Worlds Collide. Also included on the release is the score for the 1954 movie The Naked Jungle written by Daniele Amfitheatrof, as well as the music for 1955’s Conquest of Space composed by Nathan Van Cleave.     This is sold out. Please can you tell me when it will be available again? It’s one of Barry’s best soundtracks, and that’s saying something.
