La-La Land Records has released a 4CD-box set of composer Mark Snow‘s music for the mystery show The X-Files. The release includes selections of Snow’s score from 40 episodes that span the show’s nine seasons, for a total of more than 5 hours of music. The set is limited to 3000 copies and available to order on La-La Land Records’ website. Also check out the page for several lengthy audio clips from the set. Some of the episodes featured on the release include the Pilot, The Host, One Breath, Anasazi and The Post-Modern Prometheus. The X-Files created by Chris Carter and starring David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson aired from 1993 to 2002 on FOX and spun two theatrical movies released in 1998 and 2008, which Snow also scored.

The label also released a 2-CD set of the soundtrack to the Sony Computer Entertainment America videogame Socom 4. The music is written by Bear McCreary (Battlestar Galactica, The Walking Dead) who recorded the score with a large orchestra. For audio clips and to order the album, which is limited to 2000 copies, visit La-La Land Records’ online store.
