William Ross recently recorded his score for the upcoming football drama Touchback. The film stars Kurt Russell, Brian Presley, Melanie Lynsky, Christine Lahti and Marc Blucas. According to Variety, the movie written and directed by Don Handfield centers on a man whose promising high school football career was cut short when he was critically injured during a playoff game. He gets the chance to decide if he wants the life he has, or the life that could have been, when he’s unexpectedly thrust back to that fateful instant that changed his life forever. Ross’ music was recorded earlier this month with a 55-piece orchestra at Air Studios in London. A trailer for Touchback will be premiering in the next couple of weeks and a release date for the film later this year is expected.

Ross also has the comedy Balls to the Walls directed by Penelope Spheeris and starring Jenna Dewan, Mimi Rogers and Colleen Camp coming up this year. The film will have its world premiere this Saturday at the Newport Beach Film Festival.
