Four new movies are opening in wide release this weekend:
Gore Verbinski’s animated movie Rango starring Johnny Depp features music by Hans Zimmer. Visit our previous article announcing the soundtrack album to find out more. The soundtrack is now available to download at Amazon and iTunes and will be released on CD on March 15. Also opening is George Nolfi’s The Adjustment Bureau starring Matt Damon and Emily Blunt The film’s score is written by Thomas Newman who also collaborated on a song for the movie with Richard Ashcroft. Also opening is Daniel Barnz’s Beastly starring Vanessa Hudgens and Alex Pettfyer. Lakeshore Records is releasing two soundtrack albums. A song album was released this week and can be downloaded at Amazon and iTunes. A separate soundtrack featuring Marcelo Zarvos’ original score from the movie will be released on March 15 and can be previewed at Amazon. Also coming out today is the comedy Take Me Home Tonight. The film is directed by and stars Topher Grace, Dan Fogler, Anna Farris and Teresa Palmer. The film’s score is written by Trevor Horn and marks his first feature film credit since 2000’s Coyote Ugly. No word on if any of Horn’s music will be released. Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album this week featuring songs by The Buggles, Duran Duran, Yaz and Kim Carnes. To download the soundtrack, visit Amazon or iTunes.
