Two new movies are opening wide this weekend:
The action movie Drive Angry 3D directed by Patrick Lussier and starring Nicolas Cage and Amber Heard features music by Michael Wandmacher. A soundtrack album featuring the original score is now available on iTunes and will be released on CD on March 8 by Lakeshore Records. Visit our previous article announcing the soundtrack release for more information.
Also opening wide this weekend is the comedy Hall Pass. The film is directed by the Farrelly Brothers and stars Owen Wilson, Jason Sudeikis, Christina Applegate, Jenna Fisher and Richard Jenkins. The movie centers on a married man, who is granted the opportunity to have an affair by his wife. Hall Pass features a number of songs, but no original score (even though a cue named Card Sting written by Mike Post for the TV show Law & Order is used several times during the film). No plans for a soundtrack release have been announced.
