LAB Records has released the first song from the fourth season of the Apple TV+ original series Trying. Available to stream/download now on all major digital music platforms is Forever co-written (with Tobie Tripp) and performed by BEKA. Also listen to the full track after the jump. A soundtrack album featuring more songs by BEKA from Season 4 is expected to be released in a couple of weeks. Trying is created by Andy Wolton and stars Esther Smith,  Rafe Spall, Scarlett Rayner, Sian Brooke, Darren Boyd and Cooper Turner. Music Box Records has announced a soundtrack album for the French drama Auction (Le tableau volé). The album features the film’s original music composed by Alexei Aigui  (I Am Not Your Negro, The TruthThe Young Karl MarxWild FieldExterminate All the Brutes, Silver Dollar Road). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, April 26 (visit Amazon or any other major digital music services to stream/download). A CD version, which also includes Aigui’s scores from Je pense à vous, Le Grand Alibi and Cherchez Hortense, is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out audio samples. Auction is written and directed by Pascal Bonitzer and stars Alex Lutz, Léa Drucker, Nora Hamzawi, Arcadi Radeff, Louise Chevillotte, Laurence Côte and Matthieu Lucci. Island Records has released the first song from the Netflix original animated film Thelma the Unicorn. Available to stream/download now on all major digital music services is Fire Inside written by Theo Katzman & Louis Cato, produced by Mike Elizondo and performed by Brittany Howard who also stars in the title role. The film marks the directorial debut of actress Zoë Kravitz and stars Naomie Ackie, Channing Tatum, Alia Shawkat, Simon Rex, Adria Arjona, Christian Slater, Haley Joel Osment, Kyle MacLachlan and Geena Davis. The movie follows a young and clever cocktail waitress who skillfully maneuvers her way into a tech billionaire’s inner circle and ultimately an intimate gathering on his private island, where strange things start to happen. The details of the soundtrack album for the DC animated movie Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths – Part Two have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Kevin Riepl (Superman: Man of Tomorrow, Cabin Fever, Green Lantern: Beware My Power, The Night Crew,  Justice Society: World War II). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, April 23 by Gardener Recordings (visit Amazon or any other major digital music services to stream/download). The Academy’s Board of Governors has approved rules and campaign regulations for the 97th Academy Awards, including two changes in the Original Score category. The new rules state that “three composers will be allowed to receive individual statuettes if, in rare circumstances, they all contributed fully to the score. Previously, three composers were required to submit as a group. The rules now clarify the definition of a group as a recognized band. The shortlist will increase from 15 to 20 titles”. Netflix Music has released a soundtrack album for the Italian Netflix original series Brigands: The Quest for Gold (Briganti). The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Michele Braga (DogmanRose IslandFreaks Out, Strangeness, ShadowsBlessed Madness). Also included is the song Brigante se more performed by Raiz. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out the track list. Music Box Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 2004 French adventure crime movie Arsène Lupin co-written and directed by Jean-Paul Salomé and starring Romain Duris, Kristin Scott Thomas, Pascal Greggory, Eva Green, Robin Renucci and Patrick Toomey. The 2-CD set features the remastered expanded original score from the film composed, orchestrated and conducted by Debbie Wiseman (WildeWolf Hall, Dickensian, Vampire KillersHaunted, Father Brown, Flood) and performed by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the Crouch End Festival Chorus, including around an hour of previously unreleased music. The 20th Anniversary soundtrack is limited to 500 copies and now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out audio samples and find out more about the release.
