Invada Records will release a soundtrack album for the Irish folk horror feature All You Need Is Death. The album features the film’s original score composed by Ian Lynch (of the Irish folk music group Lankum). Also included is the song Old God Rising written by Lynch and performed by Malthusian. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, April 11 and is will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The movie follows a a young couple who records and collects folk songs in rural Ireland and find themselves in an uneasy alliance with a music professor to discover an ancient song, a song that may end up unlocking some dark truth from the past. Universal Pictures confirmed today at this year’s Cinema-Con in Las Vegas that Pharrell Williams is returning to write original songs for the animated sequel Despicable Me 4. The singer/songwriter has previously contributed songs for the first three installments in the series. As previously reported, Heitor Pereira is composing the score for the movie directed by Chris Renaud and starring Steve Carell, Kristen Wiig, Will Ferrell, Joey King, Sofia Vergara, Pierre Coffin, Miranda Cosgrove, Stephen Colbert, Renaud himself, Chloe Fineman, Steve Coogan, Dana Gaier and Madison Polan. The film is directed by Sebastián Lelio and stars Daniela López, Avril Aurora, Lola Bravo and Paulina Cortés. The movie is inspired by the wave of “feminist May” mass protests that swept Chile in the spring of 2018 and follows a music student who gets involved in the growing movement on her university campus and revisits her own experiences of mistreatment.
