Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the comedy drama Miller’s Girl written and directed by Jade Halley Bartlett and starring Martin Freeman, Jenna Ortega, Gideon Adlon, Bashir Salahuddin and Dagmara Domińczyk. The film’s original music is composed by Elyssa Samsel (Between the Lines, The Book Thief, Central Park). Lionsgate Records has released a soundtrack album featuring Samsel’s score and a song performed by Nick Boddington today. Dabney Morris (Broken DiamondsProcession, I Can Feel You Walking, Almost Love) has composed the film’s original music. Intrada Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Opening in New York today following an awards-qualifying release last year and before expanding to more U.S. markets over the next couple of weeks is the animated feature The Peasants written and directed by DK Welchman & Hugh Welchman and starring Kamila Urzedowska, Robert Gulaczyk and Mirosław Baka. The film’s original music is composed by Polish music producer/rapper/composer L.U.C. (aka Lukasz Rostkowski) and the Rebel Babel Film Orchestra. Milan Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score last October. Opening in select theaters and on VOD today is the thriller Bad Hombres directed by John Stalberg Jr. and starring Diego Tinoco, Hemky Madera, Tyrese Gibson,  Luke Hemsworth, Thomas Jane, Nick Cassavates and Paul Johansson. Nima Fakhrara (Lou, Becky, The Signal, Detroit: Become Human, Alone, The Pyramid, The Girl in the Photographs) has composed the film’s original music. No soundtrack album has been announced yet. Also opening in select theaters and on VOD today is the psychological thriller Cold Copy written and directed by Roxine Helberg and starring Bel Powley, Tracee Ellis Ross, Nesta Cooper and Jacob Tremblay.
