Silva Screen Records has released a digital version of the score album for the 2013 biographical/historical drama Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom directed by Justin Chadwick and starring Idris Elba, Naomie Harris, Riaad Moosa, Tony Kgoroge, Lindiwe Matshikiz and Jamie Bartlett. The album features the remastered original score from the film composed by Alex Heffes (The Last King of Scotland, Touching the Void, Queen of Katwe, Roots, State of Play) who received a Golden Globe nomination for his music. The soundtrack, which is being released to coincide with the movie’s 10th anniversary, is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Decca Records has previously released the original score album and also released a separate soundtrack featuring the songs from the movie. Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom is now available on VOD, Blu-ray and DVD.
