Pierre Charles (Inventing Anna, White Coat Rebels) is scoring the new CBS drama East New York. The show is created by William Finkelstein (NYPD Blue, The Good Fight) & Mike Flynn and stars Amanda Warren, Jimmy Smits, Ruben Santiago-Hudson, Richard Kind, Kevin Rankin, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Olivia Luccardi and Lavel Schley. The series revolves around a newly promoted deputy inspector of East New York, a working-class neighborhood at the eastern edge of Brooklyn, as she leads a diverse group of officers and detectives, some of whom are reluctant to deploy her creative methods. Finkelstein & Flynn are also executive producing the Warner Bros. Television production with Michael M. Robin (Nip/Tuck, The Closer) and Christine Holder & Mark Holder (The Mauritanian, Walter). East New York will premiere on October 2 and will air every Sunday night on CBS.
