Ian Hultquist and Drum & Lace (Dickinson, Night Teeth, I Know What You Did Last Summer, The Gospel According to AndréGood Girls) have recently been scoring the upcoming Netflix original film Plus/Minus. The movie is directed by Wanuri Kahiu (Rafiki) and stars Lili Reinhart, Danny Ramirez, Luke Wilson, Nia Long, David Corenswet, Aisha Dee and Andrea Savage. The romantic comedy follows a young woman whose life diverges into two parallel realities on the eve of her college graduation; one in which she becomes pregnant and must navigate motherhood in her Texas hometown, the other in which  she moves to Los Angeles to pursue her career. April Prosser wrote the screenplay. Bryan Unkeless (I, Tonya, Birds of Prey) and Eric Newman (Children of Men, Narcos) are producing the project for Screen Arcade, alongside Jessica Malanaphy (The Devil’s Light) for CatchLight Studios. Plus/Minus is expected to premiere this year on Netflix.

Hultquist also continues to score Peacock’s One of Us Is Lying, which has been renewed for a second season. Drum & Lace’s recent other recent solo scoring project’s include James Ponsoldt’s Summering, which premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and will be released in theaters this year by Bleecker Street, as well as John Logan’s Blumhouse horror movie Rejoice (aka Whistler Camp), which is also expected to be released in 2022.
