Varese Sarabande has announced the latest titles in its CD Club series, including  a deluxe edition soundtrack for the 1997 disaster thriller Dante’s Peak directed by Roger Donaldson and starring Pierce Brosnan, Linda Hamilton and Charles Hallahan. The album features the expanded original score from the Universal Pictures production composed by John Frizzell (Alien: Resurrection, Office Space, Beavis and Butt-Head Do America, The Following, Legion). James Newton Howard (The Hunger Games, The Sixth Sense, King Kong, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them) contributed the theme. Varese has previously released the original 1997 soundtrack album. Dante’s Peak is now available on VOD, Blu-ray and DVD.

The label’s other new release is a deluxe edition soundtrack for the 1993 drama Love Field directed by Jonathan Kaplan and starring Michelle Pfeiffer and Dennis Haysbert. The album features the expanded original score from the film composed and conducted by by Jerry Goldsmith (Star Trek: The Motion Picture, The Omen, Planet of the Apes, Chinatown, L.A. Confidential, Patton, Poltergeist). The CD, which is limited to 2,000 copies, is now available to order on Varese’s official website, where you can also check out the full album details and check out audio samples. The label has previously released the original soundtrack in 1993. Love Field is now available on VOD and DVD.
