Jon Natchez of the indie rock band The War on Drugs has composed the score for the upcoming horror movie BOO!. The film is directed by Luke Jaden and stars Jaden Piner, Aurora Perrineau, Jill Marie Jones, Charley Palmer Rothwell, Dwight Henry and Rob Zabrecky. The movie follows a family that battles an unseen force as they soon realize they must band together in order to stop the unimaginable terror. Phil Wurtzel of Midland Entertainment and Ele Bardha of Bardha Productions are producing the project, while Bradley Pilz & Brian Kavanaugh-Jones of Automatik (Destroyer, Midnight Special, Insidious), and Nicolas Chartier & Jonathan Decker of Voltage Pictures (Dallas Buyers Club, The Hurt Locker) serve as executive producers. Natchez’s previous scoring credits include the features The Surrounding Game, Pledge, Cubby and Mafak. BOO! will have its world premiere at the Brooklyn Horror Film Festival this Sunday, October 14th at the Wythe Hotel Cinema in Brooklyn.
