  1. Thomas says:

Why is sony releasing the soundtrack, i thought walt disney bought the rights to Spider-man?

    • Ben says:

They don’t have the full rights – it’s a complex contract!

    • dirty_score says:

they shared the rights with marvel for a few movies/appearances.

    • Yeah, Dave Bautista said That he thinks that Marvel is gonna regain Spider-Man completely so They can get the theme park rights from Universal, Get Marvel At World and release the soundtrack of Homecoming instead of Sony and reshoot the whole movie to make it look like A Disney movie

  2. Brodie Marschall says:

It’s at the 30 minute mark on iTunes on Talk is Jerchio. “I think they are doing a a partnership now” “But I don’t know this for sure” “I think they are going to reacquire Spider-Man” And Constantin, owner of the FF Rights is shutting down their movie division so It doesn’t matter if Fox is focussing solely on the X-Men next year because they don’t own the rights, They just help Constantin Co-Produce and distribute the movies. IF This happens before Homecoming’s release, Disney will make more Spider-Man merchandise than ever since they’ve got the merchandise rights back in 2012, Get the Rights to Spectacular Spider-Man and Spider-Man: The New Animated Series because this would make fans extremely happy if Disney had the rights to all of his shows and brought the modern ones back, Have Homecoming content in Marvel Heroes Omega, Marvel Future Fight, Marvel Avengers Academy and Marvel Contest of Champions Because the rights to Homecoming are still at Sony for now and Distribute Homecoming instead of Sony. If Disney and Bautista can run for public office. And Hopefully, They’ll get the distribution rights to Hulk back. That would be a triple epic victory for the MCU if Spider-Man, The FF and Hulk all came fully home on the same year. Fox can keep The X-Men rights for a little Longer, but Spider-Man, FF and hulk have to go fully back. But I’m not sure how he of all people knows about all this stuff. Maybe he’s smart enough to know how Marvel works more than we do and to read between the Lines and it’s possible he heard talks on the Infinity War set or Gunn is privy to that kind of info and Dave heard it from him. That’s why I’m telling everyone this so they can enjoy the thought of Spider-Man coming home fully to Marvel. Besides, Gunn is probably already in the negotiation with Sony and Feige. I can’t tell you when, But It’s only a matter of time before Marvel/Disney acquires the full rights considering the State of Sony Pictures and Spider-Man’s ever growing presence in the MCU. I would assume that he’s wrong, But there’s always a chance that the past couple of months have resulted in discussions Between marvel and Sony that will change how Spider-Man is handled on the big screen after the partnership expires. Maybe we’ll hear more about this closer to Homecoming’s release.
