eyewitnessKeefus Ciancia is composing the score for the new USA original series Eyewitness. The show is created by Adi Hasak (Shades of Blue, 3 Days to Kill) based on the Norwegian crime thriller Øyevitne and stars Julianne Nicholson, Gil Bellows, Warren Christie, Tattiawna Jones, Matt Murray, James Paxton and Tyler Young. The anthology series’ first season follows two innocent teenage boys who bear witness to a triple-homicide while in the midst of a romantic encounter. Hasak is also executive producing the Universal Cable production with Jarl Emsell Larsen, Scott Peters (V, The 4400), Jackie de Crinis, as well as Catherine Hardwicke (Twilight, Thirteen, Lords of Dogtown) who also directed the first two episodes. Ciancia whose previous scoring credits include TV shows including The Fall, Nashville and London Spy, as well as such features as Diana, Strangerland, As Above, So Below and Criminal Activities has also recently co-scored the British comedy Mindhorn with David Holmes. The film directed by Sean Foley and starring Julian Barratt, Essie Davis, Andrea Riseborough, Russell Tovey, Simon Farnaby, Steve Coogan, Richard McCabe and Jessica Barden follows a former secret agent whose eye has been replaced by an optical lie detector and finds work on the Isle of Man as a sleuth. The Scott Free Films production just premiered at the London Film Festival and will be released in UK theaters in early 2017. The composer’s upcoming projects also include the feature thriller Devil’s Gate directed by Clay Staub and starring Amanda Schull, Milo Ventimiglia, Shawn Ashmore, Bridget Regan and Jonathan Frakes. The movie is set in the small town of Devil’s Gate, North Dakota and revolves around disappearance of a local woman and her young son. Scott Mednick (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), Andre Rouleau (GoonWhat IfDelivery Man), Valerie d’Auteuil (Ballerina), Ian Dimerman and Brendon Sawatzky are producing the project.
