Marcelo Zarvos has been hired to score the upcoming Showtime original series The Affair. The show is created by Hagai Lemi (In Treatment) & Sarah Treem (House of Cards) and stars Dominic West, Ruth Wilson, Maura Tierney and Joshua Jackson. The drama explores the emotional and psychological effects of an extramarital affair, told separately from the male and female perspectives and follows young woman waiting tables at a Hamptons diner, who begins an affair with a public school teacher and aspiring novelist. Treem and Levi are also executive producing the project with Eric Overmyer (The Wire) and director Jeffrey Reiner (Friday Night Lights). Zarvos has previously scored The Big C for Showtime and is also scoring the cable network’s Ray Donovan, which recently finished its second season run.
