John Frizzell has signed on to score the upcoming Fox drama The Following. The show is created by Kevin Williamson (Scream, Dawson’s Creek) and stars Kevin Bacon as an ex-FBI agent who is recruited to recapture an escaped serial killer. James Purefoy, Jeananne Goossen, Maggie Grace, Natalie Zea, Adan Canto, Nico Tortorella and Shawn Ashmore are co-starring. Marcos Siega (Dexter, The Vampire Diaries) is executive producing the project with Williams and also directed the pilot. Frizzell has previously collaborated with Williamson on his feature directorial debut Teaching Mrs. Tingle starring Katie Holmes & Helen Mirren and last season’s CW drama The Secret Circle. The Following is set to premiere on January 21, 2013 and will be airing every Monday night on FOX. For updates on the series, visit the official show website.
As previously reported, Frizzell also has the horror film Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D coming up next month. Also expected to be released in 2013 is the thriller The Loft, which the composer scored earlier this year.
