Marcelo Zarvos has been hired to score the thriller The Words. The film stars Bradley Cooper, Olivia Wilde, Zoe Saldana, Jeremy Irons, Dennis Quaid, Ben Barnes, John Hannah, J.K. Simmons and Nora Arnezeder. The thriller follows a successful writer who discovers he has to pay a price for stealing another man’s work. The movie is written and directed by Brian Klugman and Lee Sternthal who were both involved in writing the story for last year’s Tron Legacy. Michael Benaroya (Margin Call, The Romantics) is producing through Benaroya Pictures, alongside Animus Films’ Jim Young (Don McKay) and Serena Films’ Tatiana Kelly (Wristcutters: A Love Story). The Words is currently in post-production and is expected to be released in 2012.
Zarvos’ other upcoming projects include Barry Levinson’s horror thriller The Bay, Jennifer Westfeldt’s comedy Friends with Kids and Daniel Barnz’s drama Learning to Fly (previously entitled Steel Town aka Still I Rise).
