Marco Beltrami has been hired to score the upcomong gothic horror thriller The Woman in Black. The movie is directed by James Watkins (Eden Lake) and stars Daniel Radcliffe as a young lawyer who travels to a remote village in England to tend to a deceased client’s papers and soon begins to discover town’s terrible secrets. Ciarán Hinds, Janet McTeer, Sophie Stuckey and Liz White are co-starring. Jane Goldman (Kick-Ass, Stardust) wrote the screwnplay based on the novel by Susan Hill. Brian Oliver (Black Swan, The Ides of March), Simon Oakes (Let Me In) and Richard Jackson (Rob Roy) are producing the Hammer Films production. Beltrami has recently finished work on the indie thriller Blackbird starring Eric Bana and Olivia Wilde. Also coming up for the composer next month is the horror prequel The Thing.
