Milan Records has released a soundtrack album for the documentary Ascension. The album features the film’s original music composed by Dan Deacon (Twixt, Rat Film, Well Groomed, All Light, Everywhere). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. Ascension directed by Jessica Kingdon explores the pursuit of wealth and the paradox of progress in modern China, and examines what living the so-called “Chinese Dream” looks like today. The movie, which recently was nominated for six Critics Choice Documentary Awards and is on the IDA short-list for Best Documentary, portrays capitalism in China across the levels of its operation, from the crudest mine to the most rarefied forms of leisure.

Soundtrack Album for Steven Spielberg’s ‘West Side Story’ Announced
Hollywood Records has announced the official soundtrack album Steven Spielberg’s new film adaptation of West Side Story. The album features the songs from the movie originally written for the stage musical by Leonard Bernstein and with lyrics by Stephen Sondheim. The record is produced by David Newman who arranged and adapted Bernstein’s original score for the film, Jeanine Tesori who supervised the cast on vocals and music supervisor Matt Sullivan who serves as executive music producer. Gustavo Dudamel conducted the New York Philharmonic during the first recording sessions in 2019, with additional recording by the Los Angeles Philharmonic done the following year. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, December 3 (in two version, including a Dolby Atmos Music edition) and physically next Friday, December 10. ‘The Waltons’ Homecoming’ Soundtrack Released

The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, November 29 and will be available to stream/download here. All Light, Everywhere is directed by Theo Anthony and explores the shared histories of cameras, weapons, policing and justice. The movie interrogates the complexity of an objective point of view, probing the biases inherent in both human perception and the lens as surveillance technologies become a fixture in everyday life.

Soundtrack Album for Netflix’s ‘Super Crooks’ to Be Released
Maisie Music Publishing will release a soundtrack album for the Netflix anime series Super Crooks. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by DJ/record producer Towa Tai (Big Man Japan). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, November 27 and will be available to stream/download here. A CD and vinyl edition will be released by Columbia Records Japan on December 10 and is available to order as an import on Amazon. Super Crooks is written by Dai Sato based on the graphic novel of the same name by Mark Millar and artist Leinil Yu, directed by Motonobu Hori and produced by Japanese anime studio bones. The series follows a crew of small-time crooks with super powers who are recruited by Johnny Bolt for one last heist targeting a ruthless super-powered crime boss.
‘Trolls Holiday in Harmony’ Soundtrack EP Released
RCA Records has released a soundtrack EP for the DreamWorks Animation’s special Trolls Holiday in Harmony. The 5-track EP features two original songs (Together Now & Tiny’s Journey) from the special co-written and produced by composer Joseph Shirley (The Book of Boba Fett, The Mysterious Benedict Society, Bad Trip, Fairfax) and performed by the project’s voice cast, as well as a cover of Stevie Wonder’s Signed, Sealed, Delivered.
