Varese Sarabande has announced the details of the soundtrack album for Season 2 of the HBO hit series Games of Thrones. The album features selections from Ramin Djawadi‘s original music from the second season of the show. The release date of the soundtrack has been pushed back to June 19, 2012 since our last update. The album marks the label’s second soundtrack album for the Emmy- and Golden Globe-winning series following last year’s release featuring the music from the first season. ‘Treme’ Season 2 Soundtrack Announced
Rounder Records has announced a soundtrack release for the second season of the HBO drama Treme. The album includes the music from the show by a number of New Orleans musicians, including Henry Butler, Jon Cleary, Dr. John, Tom McDermott and David Torkanowsky. Also featured are tracks by artists including The Subdudes, Hot 8 Brass Band and a collaboration of Galactic, the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, and rapper Juvenile. The soundtrack will be released on April 17, 2012 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Treme created and executive produced by David Simon and Eric Overmyer (The Wire) interweaves stories of musicians and other residents who are trying to rebuild their lives while also preserving the city’s unique musical heritage and cultural traditions after Hurricane Katrina. The series’ second season will also be released on Blu-Ray and DVD on April 17 (click here to order the set). A third season is expected to premiere this fall.
‘Warehouse 13’ Season 2 Soundtrack announced
Milan Records will be releasing a soundtrack album for the second season of the Syfy series Warehouse 13. The album includes the original score from the show by composer Edward Rogers, including his Emmy-nominated main theme. The soundtrack will be released on August 30, 2011. Check back on this page for audio clips. A score album was previously released for Season 1 and is available to download on iTunes. ‘Fringe’ Season 2 Soundtrack announced
Varese Sarabande Records has announced a soundtrack album for the second season of the TV show Fringe. The album includes highlights of Chris Tilton’s score from the show’s 2009/2010 season. The soundtrack also includes Michael Giacchino’s end title theme, as well as J.J. Abrams’ Fringe 85 as a bonus track. The album will be released on April 5, 2011 and can be pre-ordered on Amazon. The third season of Fringe currently airs Friday nights on Fox and the show was just recently renewed for a fourth season.
‘Pushing Daisies’ Season 2 Sountrack album coming
Varese Sarabande Records has announced the details for the upcoming soundtrack release for the second season of the TV Show Pushing Daisies. The album features highlights from Jim Dooley’s score of the second season of the critically acclaimed show. The soundtrack will be released on April 5, 2011. A first volume with music from the first season was released back in 2008 and is also available on Varese Sarabande Records.
