Varèse Sarabande and Craft Recordings have announced the first-ever vinyl release of the score for the 1999 supernatural horror movie The Haunting directed by Jan de Bont and starring Liam Neeson, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Owen Wilson and Lili Taylor. The 2-LP deluxe edition features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Academy Award winner Jerry Goldsmith (The Omen, Chinatown, Planet of the Apes, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Alien, Patton, Basic Instinct) and will be available on a pressed on a Black/Gold/Grey Marble vinyl in North America and n Translucent Green vinyl, with brand-new artwork. Both editions are packaged in a gatefold jacket, featuring brand-new cover illustrations from artist Sina Grace, liner notes and stills from the film. The soundtrack will be released on October 4 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon.

‘Lara Croft: Tomb Raider – The Cradle of Life’ Deluxe Edition Score Album Announced
Varese Sarabande has announced the latest titles in its CD club series, including a new soundtrack album for the 2003 action adventure movie Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life directed by Jan De Bont and starring Angelina Jolie, Gerard Butler, Noah Taylor, Ciarán Hinds, Djimon Hounsou, Til Schweiger and Christopher Barrie. The Deluxe Edition album features the expanded original score from the sequel composed and conducted by Academy Award nominee Alan Silvestri (Back to the Future, Forest Gump, Avengers: Endgame, Cast Away, Captain America: The First Avenger), including around 30 minutes of previously unreleased music. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and other digital music stores. A 2-CD version, which is limited to 2,000 copies, is available to order on the label’s official website.
Expanded ‘Twister’ Score Album Announced
La-La Land Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1996 hit disaster movie Twister directed by Jan De Bont and starring Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton. The album features the expanded original score from the Amblin Entertainment production composed by Mark Mancina (Speed, Tarzan, Moana, Bad Boys, Brother Bear, Planes, Training Day), including previously unreleased music. The 20th Anniversary soundtrack is limited to 3000 copies and will be available to order on January 17, 2016 on the label’s official website.
