JaJo Records has released a soundtrack album for the Irish thriller Black Medicine. The album features the film’s original music composed by James Everett (The Dig, Bad Day for the Cut, The Dakota Entrapment Tapes). Black Medicine is written and directed by Colum Eastwood and stars Amybeth McNulty, Orla Brady and Antonia Campbell-Hughes. The movie centers on a black-market medic carrying out illegal operations for the criminal underworld who is given refuge to a young girl and must choose between breaking her medical oath or crossing her ruthless employers.

Bad Day for the Cut is co-written and directed by Chris Baugh and stars Nigel O’Neill, Susan Lynch, Józef Pawłowski, Stuart Graham, Anna Próchniak and Ian McElhinney. The movie follows a middle-aged Irish farmer, who still lives at home with his mother, as he sets off on a mission of revenge when the old lady is murdered.

The Dig is directed by Ryan & Andy Tohill and stars Moe Dunford, Emily Taaffe, Francis Magee and Lorcan Cranitch. The movie centers on a paroled, amnesiac killer as he is confronted by his victim’s father. The thriller was shown at various film festivals over the last year (including at the Toronto International Film Festival and the Galway Film Fleadh, where it won Best Irish Feature) and is being released in Irish theaters this weekend.
